On 2nd August Iqbal Majumder the national facilitator of APWSL Bangladesh was brutally shot dead. At 8-30 pm, he was on his way home after days work, after crossing 1000 yds from the office he was shot from point blank range. He was alone. Passerby people brought him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the doctors.

The dastardly act of terrorist killing of Iqbal Majumder is part of total political & social unrest prevailing in the country instigated by the capitalist to fish in the troubled water.
Iqbal Majumder was a pioneer in the anti privatization and anti de-regulation movement, as such the capitalists needed to eliminate him through their agents.
Please circulate the message and request all components of APWSL to stage protests in each country to ask Government of Bangladesh to bring the killers of Iqbal into the book and give them exemplary punishment.

Iqbal was General Secretary of the Bangladesh Jatiyo Sramik Federation, (BJSF), General Secretary of the Bangladesh Textile workers & employees Federation and President of the Jute twine workers & employees Federation, and National Secretary of the Ganatantric Majdoor Party (Democratic workers party).

Iqbal Majumder was a pioneer in the anti privatization and anti de-regulation movement and for us a key person for a democratic development of your country.
We would like to PROTEST against this terrorist killing and urge you and the Government of Bangladesh to CONDUCT AN OPEN AND INDEPENDENT INQUIRY TO FIND THE KILLERS OF IQBAL and give them exemplary punishment.
