Action alert--Pakistani Autoworkers

NEW JAPANESE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF PAKISTAN SUZUKI MOTOR PLANS TO CURTAIL 25% PLANT WORKERS BEFORE JULY-2000

With the beginning of year 2000,Pakistan Suzuki motor also brought some top level administrative changes . In this regard the new japanese managing director took over the control very recently and announced the plans to curtail 25% workers from Production before July-2000.

Since june 98,We had seen that Japanese Multi-national Automata adopted very discriminative methods towards workers , who just raised their voices to earn their legal rights. All 90 workers were not only gate stopped but also victimized and intimidated with the help of local police.

Beyond all difficulties, workers are still moving ahead with firm determination to achieve their legal legitimate rights The recent plan of new Suzuki Management does not have any impact unless the CBA, and other unions are standing along with Suzuki.Unfortunately the so-called CBA, and allied puppet unions always played each and every role to just fulfill the determined plans of Suzuki Management.

Instead of taking any immediate actions , all the unions are quite and pose normality. On behalf of all workers of Suzuki plant , We do strongly opposed the recent policy downsizing of new Suzuki Management regarding reduction of 25% workers. The skilled workforce of auto industry should not be made jobless , Since the existence of Suzuki motor in Pakistan , the same workers had attributed their best skills and vital energies to boast up the japanese brand name in this region.

Keeping in view the harmonious industrial peace and advancement of auto industry , We do appeal the new Suzuki Management to not take any such discriminative action against the local workforce .We hope that all trade unionist and labor organizations will send immediate message to :
