The Suzuki workers once again has been awarded a fair decision on appeal filed by the suzuki management before the appellate labor tribunal. The joint petition of 52 and 23 workers for cross examination was allowed by the Sindh Labor Court, however the order passed by the labor court was challenged by the Suzuki management before the Appellate Labor Tribunal.

After detail arguments from both the parties, court pronounced the decision on April 10th,2000. In view of court order, all the cases of workers which are already under trial before the Sindh Labor Court # 4, should be completed within 05 months period. Keeping in view the forthcoming two months summer vacation , the order will be effective from the month of August -2000.

In Pakistan , the labor cases does usually take plenty of time to be completed, in this regard the cases filed by the Suzuki workers already consumed more than 20-months. Since June -98, despite all the hardship and hinderence, every worker is firmly determine to continue the struggle for their legal rights and reinstatement.

The Giant Multinational Suzuki Corporation is utilizing all sources to break the spirit of workers. On legal front, Suzuki Management is busy to gain more time on litigation process and on other hand, the agents of Suzuki Management are adopting all tactics to buy out the workers through some attractive financial offers.

Besides all difficulties, we can feel that our determined destiny is not too far to reach. To further continue the fight against Mega Corporate,we need solidarity and support from all our friends related to labor unions and labor organizations around the world.
